Elle est née à Authier en Abitibi, Québec, Canada. De 1970 à 2005, elle enseigne les arts plastiques au niveau secondaire, tout en poursuivant des stages de formation professionnel: Certificat en arts plastique, peinture à l'huile, poterie, émaux sur cuivre, aquarelle et le pastel.
Depuis 1986, Christiane se consacre au pastel qu'elle perfectionne avec les maîtres canadiens et américains: Dave Beckett, Daniel Green, Ben Konis , Christina Debarry et Albert Handell.
Spécialisée dans le portrait, la nature morte et le paysage, elle est élus par jury, Premier pastelliste au Canada avec la Société de Pastel du Canada. Elle participe régulièrement à leurs événements annuels et ces concours avec jury lui ont permis d'exposer entre autre, à New-York, en Floride, à Santa Fe, à Vancouver, à Ottawa, au Portugal, en République Tchèque du Québec en Abitibi et à Pons en France.
Plusieurs de ses tableaux font partie de collections publiques: Fédération des Caisses populaires du Québec, la Fédération des travailleurs du Québec, la Fondation de l'Université du Québec, Tembec groupe forestier et l'équipe junior majeur (Les Foreurs)
Elle a obtenu plusieurs Premiers Prix au cours de sa carrière.
