AFAPRR Annual Religious Art and Restoration , April -May 2015, Bucharest , at the National Village Museum "Dimitrie Gusti"

AFAPRR Annual Religious Art and Restoration : ”Fall, Rise, Survival. Sacred art. Creation and Restoration  “ is hosted at  the National Village Museum "Dimitrie Gusti"  in Bucharest, during the period  5th of  April -17th  of May  2015 .

 

The exhibition  will continue until May 17, 2015 in what is generating considerable interest and curiosity (initial period is decided by the organizers  from 05 to 23 of  April 2015). AFAPRR Annual Religious Art and Restoration will be closed Friday, on the 15th of May 2015, with a closing ceremony,  at 11,00 am.

 

Official closing is closely related to the week for celebrating the 79 years of the official opening of the National Village Museum "Dimitrie Gusti"  . Museum official opening took place on 10 May 1936 in the presence of the King of ROMANIA  Carol the 2nd  and to the public, a week later, at May 17, 1936.

Association Branch of Religious Plastic Arts  and Restoration : AFAPRR of UAP from  Romania: Romanian Fine Arts Union, in partnership with National University of Arts, Bucharest- Mural Art Department as well as with National Village Museum "Dimitrie Gusti"  was pleased to announce that, on the cymas  of the National Village Museum "Dimitrie Gusti"   is hosted the  AFAPRR Annual Religious Art and Restoration: ”Fall, Rise, Survival. Sacred art. Creation and Restoration “.

Open ceremony was at the 5th of April, at 13:30 pm. At the open ceremony spoke  art critic Corneliu Antim, the Honorary President of Association Branch of Religious Plastic Arts  and Restoration as well as dr. Marius Tita, art historian.

Curators  of the exhibition are: Cristian Olteanu, Painter, President of AFAPRR of UAP from  Romania; Lecturer Ion Achitenie Ph.D. ; Lecturer Mihai Dumitru Ph.D.

You can see  art works made by  a total of 80  Romanian artists : Viorel and Stefania Grimalschi, Nicolae Sava, Achitenie Ion , Mihai Dumitru, Ion Grigore, Elena Murariu, Vintila and Viorela Mihăescu, Vasile Pop-Negresteanu, Cristiana Calinescu Fodor , Ioan Oratie, Irina Sava, Florian Mihailescu, Gheorghita Romeo, Cristian Olteanu (AFAPRR of UAP from Romania president), Corina Perianu, Puiu Costachi Dumitras, Cirstina De La Studina ,  Claudiu Victor Gheorghiu and as well as other colleagues, who I thank for the passion and dedication, even if I have not nominated, because I don't know them well enough.

1) Iconographer Prayer to the Our Lady MOTHER of GOD , from the book of the Byzantine painting(Erminia) , tempera on paper, 100x30 cm, 2001 ;

2) The sticherons from the Sunday of Orthodoxy, the celebration of the victory of the icons against the Iconoclasm , tempera on paper, 100x30 cm, 2001;
