Aprés des études d'art dans les années 80 aux beaux art de Marseille et 1 an dans l'atelier de la peintre provençale Mme Thoubillon de Montcroc , je suis devenu antiquaire car j'étais amoureux de la peinture classique.
Il y a quelques années l'envie de peindre s'est imposée à moi, mais il me fallait du nouveau, faire table rase de mon passé, de mes études et de l'antiquité, la peinture abstraite a répondu à mes aspirations.
Je travaille de manière traditionnelle sur une toile soigneusement enduite et poncée pour être très lisse, je fabrique beaucoup de mes couleurs pour avoir la profondeur et l'intensité souhaitée .
Je ne prévois rien, l'intuition et l'envie du moment me guident, le geste est primordial pour moi, c'est par sa liberté et sa fluidité que l'œuvre sera vivante et dynamique .
Le résultat est abstrait et minimaliste, pas besoin d'en faire des tonnes pour s'exprimer, au contraire " less is more", il n'y a rien a comprendre ni à analyser, juste à ressentir pour ceux qui en sont encore capable .
Je pourrais me situer dans l'action painting ou l'abstraction lyrique, qui est l'expression de ses émotions intimes de manière non formelle, avec passion, sobriété et poésie .
J'expose régulièrement dans les grandes foires d'art contemporain, cette année Chatou ( L'ile aux impressionnistes), Biarritz, Bordeaux, Monaco, Lausanne ( Suisse) ...
