The basis of the artwork is an overpainted full-page museum advertisement of »The Hermitage in the Prado Madrid. « The overpainting in its original format was scanned and rearranged to a new image on the computer. The result was printed out, mounted on canvas, and reworked with acrylics, water-based mediums, oil paint, fabrics, alkyd resin, and varnish, thus creating new and dense artwork. The process, from selecting the overpainted printed matter, its reduction, magnification, and fragmentation to the repeated processing with different artistic means, supports the core message: painting.
