Sí" is a artwork that delves deeply into the complexities of human duality and existential prison. The metaphor of Siamese twins expresses the nature of external impositions that shape identity, creating a state of being where the individual is, simultaneously, himself and an extension of what imprisons him. When contemplating this artwork, the viewer is invited to reflect on his own relationship with the influences that shaped his identity. To what extent are we, in fact, free or do we live confined by invisible borders, imprisoned? by conditions that we never chose, but that relentlessly define us?
Element Analysis
The Background (Metallic Fog):
The mix of gold, copper and bronze in the background represents the confusion and uncertainty in which identity is often lost. The atmosphere of fog or smoke creates a feeling of uncertainty, symbolizing the barriers that make it difficult to clearly understand who we really are, obscuring uniqueness amidst society's expectations and judgments.
Visual Effect: The fusion of these metallic tones with smoky textures generates a feeling of depth and restlessness, reflecting a nebulous emotional state and an environment where the boundaries of identity are tenuous and difficult to define.
The Spectral Siamese Being:
The central element, a spectral Siamese being, symbolizes a divided identity, coexisting in two forms. The shared traits indicate the merging of two souls or personalities into a single body, suggesting the lack of a singular identity and the struggle for autonomy and acceptance. This figure represents those who feel pressured to conform or who are judged for characteristics over which they have no control, making uniqueness itself a point of conflict.
Sunken Eyes and Black Tears: Sunken eyes, filled with darkness, express the anguish and sense of emptiness that can accompany the loss of a unique identity. The flowing black tears symbolize the emotional suffering and sadness resulting from being misunderstood, or judged for something inherent and uncontrollable.

My name is Roberto and I am a visual artist.
Otrebor has always been present within me, since the first days I perceived the world around me. He is the manifestation of that side that matured too soon, that observed reality with a different, deeper and, at times, darker look. Since I was a child, I have been drawn to horror films, to images that others would avoid. The B side of life, the shadows that go unnoticed, have always instilled something in me, like a silent call to explore what hides beyond the surface.
My journey as an visual artist is not just an aesthetic quest, but a continuous dive into the unresolved emotions and invisible landscapes of the psyche. Through Otrebor, I invite the viewer to face discomfort, embrace the complexity of existence, and find beauty where most see only darkness. Each artwork is a portal to this introspection — a chance to reveal the B side within us all.
Otrebor's art is a reflection of this hidden side. Every brushstroke, every composition is an expression of this duality — the beauty found in darkness, the truth revealed in the deepest recesses of the human soul. Through my art, I seek to confront and explore the unknown, the unspoken, what many prefer not to see. Otrebor is the mirror of an internal universe, where shadows are not feared, but accepted as an integral part of the human experience.
These artworks are the illustrative representation of underworlds, in which scenarios and beings are created by mundane actions and emotions (or in some cases, lack thereof). They serve to expand the imagination and mainly to deepen reflection on the psyche and how we deal with thoughts.
