"I am an Artist working in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Born into a family of artists, I started in Art at an early age. Later and determined to be a Painter, I decided to travel the paradisiacal routes of the Fine Arts.
1999 was a superb year, where I won the first prize at the Accademia Internazionale D´Arte Moderna in Rome. There, an Art Critic wrote in the Ages magazine that my style is the Neo Futurism. The truth is that I take to the limits the cubism and the Italian futurism, reaching the hard edge in a pure abstraction of forms and colors on certain occasions. From cubism I have the defragmentation of reality, but without the multiplicity of points of view. And from Futurism the beauty of the diagonals providing dynamism, used more subtly than the italian masters".

Omar Sorriente ha recibido el título Accadémico Honoris Causa otorgado por la Accademia Internazionale d´Arte Moderna, en Roma, al obtener el 1er Premio, Medalla de Oro, en el Trofeo Medusa Aurea (año 1999).
En el año 2000 la Academia Gentium Pro Pace (Ciudad del Vaticano) lo nombra Maestro del colore, Sodalis Academicus, por el tríptico homenaje al Papa Juan Pablo II, realizado con motivo del Jubileo.
Ese mismo año expone en The Florida Museum of Hispanic and Latinamerican Art, Miami, Estados Unidos. En 2001 es galardonado con la Targa del Lazio, premio adquisición en la AIAM, Roma.
En 2012 expuso sus obras en la Feria Arte Punta, en el Hotel Conrad de Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Sus comienzos. Inicia sus estudios a temprana edad en el Atelier Paul Klee con la Prof. Adriana Dellepiane. Obtiene tres medallas de plata en el “Shankar´s International Children´s Competition” (1982, 1985 y 1986). A los 16 años prosigue su instrucción en las Bellas Artes con el Prof. Domingo Di Stéfano. Paralelamente realiza la carrera de Diseño Gráfico en la Universidad de Buenos Aires.
Entre sus exposiciones nacionales se destacan: Ateneo Popular de La Boca (1992 y 1995), Museo de Bellas Artes de La Plata (1999), Asociación Estímulo de Bellas Artes (1999), Impulso de Bellas Artes (1999), Dirección Gral. de Cultura de San Isidro (2007), Galería RvanR (2010), Feria Arteclásica (2012).
Entre los premios nacionales se destacan: Gran Premio “Semana del Arte” Galería RvanR (2009), 2º Premio “Pequeño Formato” Galería RvanR (2007), 1º Mención “67º Salón Anual” Círculo de Bellas Artes (2002), 1º Premio “Salón Figura Humana” Galería Encuentrarte (1998).
En la actualidad trabaja en su atelier de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, adentrándose en el paraíso de las bellas artes con su estilo neo futurista (según lo denominó la crítica de arte Mara Ferloni, Revista Ages, Roma, año 1999).
