Zijn werk is het onderwerp geweest van talrijke persoonlijke of groepstentoonstellingen.
Of het nu tijdens residenties is of om te reageren op opdrachten, zijn projecten zijn vaak gedeelde creaties. Dat wil zeggen dat ze pas betekenis krijgen als er actieve deelname is van de mensen die hij ontmoet. André Rouille omschreef zijn werk in zijn boek La Photographie (Folio Gallimard editie 2005) als dialogist, dat wil zeggen als hij de ander beschouwt als Subject (en vaak co-auteur van het werk) en niet als een eenvoudig object om te fotograferen.
Sindsdien zijn veel van zijn creaties gebaseerd op ontmoetingen.
