De werken van kunstenaar Wolf Thiele zijn deels strikt geometrisch en minimalistisch, deels poëtisch en complex. Ze kunnen worden geclassificeerd als abstracte geometrische constructieve schilderkunst of als minimal art. Thiele experimenteert met het effect van kleuren, vormen, lijnen en vlakken op elkaar, met de subjectiviteit van optische waarneming.
Zijn werken zijn meestal gemaakt van eenvoudige geometrische vormen. Hij houdt van de formele soberheid en economie van geometrie en houdt het bij Paul Klee: "De natuur kan het zich veroorloven om te verspillen, de kunstenaar moet ... zuinig zijn". Analyse, reductie en variatie zijn belangrijke principes van zijn werk en daarom zijn digitale media geschikte instrumenten voor hem om schetsen, foto's en sculpturen te ontwikkelen.
Wolf Thiele woont en werkt in Gattières, aan de Côte d'Azur, in Monaco en in Hamburg. Hij studeerde af in tekenen en grafisch ontwerp aan de kunstacademie Villa Thiole in respectievelijk 2008 en 2013. Een van zijn werken werd in 2015 aangekocht door het National Museum of Art of China.
