Over de auteur
Een tiental jaar gepassioneerd bezig met houtsnijden en houtdraaien. Geïnspireerd door Youtube filmpjes wou ik gaan houtdraaien. De avondlessen zaten vol, dus schreef ik mij in voor het houtsnijden. Nu geniet ik er van om beide diciplines te combineren. Ik hou er van om nieuwe technieken en vormen te ontdekken.
Regelmatig neem ik deel aan kunst- en ambachtmarkten in Vlaanderen. In 2023 stond ik voor het eerst op de Makerfaire Gent en daarna ook op de Makerfaire in Eindhoven waar ik demonstraties houtdraaien gaf. Hiermee wil ik het plezier van dit ambacht delen met het grote publiek en de nieuwe generatie makers.
Hoewel het grootste deel van mijn werk meer bij ambacht aanleunt, zit er hier en daar een kunstige uitspatting bij. Daar haal ik de grootste voldoening uit en het is dan ook mijn doel om me daarin te gaan verdiepen.
