Marc Paraskeva is een fotograaf die, bij voorkeur en opleiding, het liefst met filmfotografie werkt. Zijn werk maakt gebruik van zowel traditionele druktechnieken als de schilderkunst van kleur.
Voor hem is het echte materiaal van de fotografie een vluchtige realiteit die zich gedurende een bepaalde periode verplaatst, en de vertelling van deze realiteit speelt een belangrijke rol in zijn interpretatie ervan. Sommige prints zijn verfraaid met kleur in aquarelinkt, en overdruktechnieken tijdens de opnames of in het laboratorium stellen hem in staat een groot deel van de verbeelding in deze verdwenen realiteit te verwerken. Het zijn in feite unieke werken met veel variaties. De essentie van zijn aanpak kan dan ook worden omschreven als poëtische documentaire.
Marc Paraskeva is een Franse kunstenaar die in Robion woont en werkt. In 1989 studeerde hij af aan de EFET-fotografieschool in Marseille, Frankrijk. Zijn werk is te vinden in tal van privécollecties.
