Armajay is een Franse kunstenaar, oorspronkelijk schilder. Hij schakelde vijftien jaar geleden over op digitale kunst waardoor hij als kunstenaar kon floreren en zich kon bevrijden van de beperkingen van de traditionele schilderkunst.
Nadat hij op 25-jarige leeftijd de basistechnieken van het schilderen had geleerd door teken- en schilderlessen te volgen, begon hij al snel aan beeldonderzoek en verkenning.
Hij werkt al iets meer dan 10 jaar met de computer en dat geeft hem alle vrijheid die hij nodig heeft. Omdat hij van jongs af aan intiem was met computers en alles wat ze mogelijk maken, openbaarde digitale kunst zich al snel als zijn bevoorrechte uitdrukkingsmiddel: door handmatig werk (met een optische pen) met mogelijkheden voor ongelooflijke transformatie en modificaties.
Zijn digitale schilderijen en foto's behandelen alle thema's met een voorliefde voor personages, beeldhouwkunst, architectuur en natuur. Liefhebber van romantisch, glamoureus en soms gotisch classicisme. In zijn jeugd geïnspireerd door het impressionisme en het figuratieve, wordt hij nu meer geïnspireerd door klassieke en academische werken.
