Met name portretthema's combineert ze fotografie met het schrijven van het script voor haar eerste speelfilm.
Helena Pellicer Ortiz werd in 1975 in Barcelona geboren. Ze heeft diploma's in Arabische en Hebreeuwse filologie, evenals filmregie. Ze werkte jarenlang in het Centre d'Estudis Cinematogràfics de Catalunya aan verschillende artistieke projecten op pedagogisch gebied. Ze werkte als assistent van de regisseur en als redacteur van Héctor Favers speelfilm Invocation (LVII Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica. La Biennale Di Venezia 2000).
