Polina Jourdain-Kobycheva is een kunstenaarsfotograaf. Zijn betrokkenheid bij de samenleving, zowel in termen van onderzoek als in termen van de analyse van individuen, stelde hem in staat zijn blik op mensen en werken te verscherpen. Haar interesse in dans stelde haar in staat om met kunstenaar-dansers te werken aan lichaam en beweging.
Zijn verfijnde blik is gericht op het lichaam, gekruist door wat het is en wat het zegt. Zonder te anticiperen op de vorm, concentreert het zich op wat het lichaam produceert en niet op wat het dreigt te reproduceren.
Polina Jourdain-Kobycheva werd geboren in Rusland in Sint-Petersburg, waar ze een graad in sociologie behaalde. Ze woont en werkt nu in Biarritz, Frankrijk. Vandaag zet ze haar fotografisch werk voort met ambachtslieden en bedrijven in Baskenland. Zijn werk is het onderwerp geweest van talrijke publicaties in Frankrijk en in het buitenland. Het is te zien in het Russisch Staatsmuseum in St. Petersburg. Ze nam ook deel aan tal van tentoonstellingen.
