Richard Raveen Chester is een veelzijdig kunstenaar. Hij ontwikkelde een nieuwe vorm van printen met behulp van een digitale techniek en het aanbrengen van lagen op zwaar kunstpapier. Hij is gespecialiseerd in hedendaags simultaan en continu printen in kleur. De kunstenaar herwerkt de afdruk na de marouflage-overdracht op zwaar kunstpapier om het artistieke effect te bereiken.
Zijn werk is vooral geïnspireerd door zijn wandelingen op het platteland en de sensaties of gevoelens die hij daarbij ervaart en die hij probeert te delen met de toeschouwers van zijn werken.
Richard Raveen Chester werd in 1954 in India geboren. Hij studeerde in 1976 af met een Bachelor of Fine Arts in visuele communicatie aan de Delhi University School of Art. Hij woont en werkt momenteel in Angers (Frankrijk).
