Mesrine werkt als beeldend kunstenaar, fotograaf, schrijver, schilder, beeldhouwer en tekenaar. Sinds 1990 maakt hij lightpainting-beelden en fotografeert hij graag mensen die door de samenleving op de zwarte lijst staan.
In de straten van Parijs creëert hij spectaculaire lichtschilderende beelden in alle soorten en maten, van de menselijke vorm tot lichtgevende graffititeksten. Hij ontwerpt en produceert het merendeel van zijn lichtgevende schrijfwaren zelf.
Mesrine werd geboren in Rueil-Malmaison in 1960. (Frankrijk). Hij woont en werkt in Les Bordes (Frankrijk). Hij studeerde aan de Louis Lumière-school, waarna zijn carrière begon in de haute couture. Twintig jaar lang dwaalde hij in de grote ateliers, streelde hij met de grootste couturiers (Dior, Lanvin, Ferraud, Courrège), fotografeerde hij kunstenaars en actrices en voerde hij reclamecampagnes. Zijn foto's zijn gepubliceerd in tal van tijdschriften.
