Allmuth Lenz gebruikt in haar lyrische fotowerken technieken die een onvoorspelbaar element bevatten. Haar foto's met de Camera Obscura ogen abstract en schilderachtig door de vervaagde contouren en de zachte lichteffecten. Zeker met wind en storm van het bewegende schip. Soms ontstaan er beelden vol verlangen als je op weg bent naar de horizon. In een andere zelfontwikkelde methode stopt ze analoge foto's in een handgemaakte loog. Deze werken zijn gebaseerd op het samenspel van verschillende niveaus: van het fotografische motief via de chemische vervreemding ervan tot gekraste tekens in het oppervlak. Allmuth Lenz, geboren in Hamburg in 1958, werkt sinds 1986 in Brühl en exposeert sinds 1995 regelmatig regionaal in galerieën en culturele instellingen. Haar foto's zijn vertegenwoordigd in talrijke privécollecties.
