Nadya Pestikova

Nadya Pestikova is a Russian-born artist based in Moscow.
Was started her active period in the art industry in 2019.

Took part on local and international exhibitions including Biennale Wynwood 2nd edition (2022)

In her projects Nadia explores topical issues of human adaptation to the changes of new times. 

In particular, Nadia is currently working on a project to investigate the adaptation of humans to the changing ethical norms of personal relationships with the emergence and dissemination of online dating services. She considers the current period as a turning point. The period of superimposition of the romantic model of building relationships - when people met by accident, kind of fate’s involvement, and the technocratic model - when dating happens online and based on algorithms and criteria of online dating services. 

We see in Nadia’s pieces how people turn away from the viewer or are in unusual ways, showing detachment and not involved in the process of living - offline communication as a symbol of new times and tendency to live online or to live solo. Or maybe it's the same thing?
