This series taken at the entrace of Salar de Uyuni where we headed deep into Altiplano plateau crossing the whole salt marsh on our way.
They are collecting salt there making rows of salt cones, working on the very border of the marsh yet staying close to the nearby village.
When we stopped there, after a very turbulent previous day, when we had to switch our plans and take plane as the railroad was completely blocked by protesters, we had just started to realize that there is noone else for miles and miles ahead. And it was that trip that became one of the most remarkable experience for me: standing at the edge of the unknown and later on touching the void, endless space, free of any humans and almost any life at all.
Reaching places like that makes you feel an explorer, as you understand how few people have seen what you see at the moment, have felt that stunning enormous world, which you never get to know entirely...
