Flash in my dream (2014) 绘画 由 Marianne Charlotte Mylonas-Svikovsky (Marlo)

I paint since the age of 12 and go my own way since then painting on and off throughout my professional life in various fields. Having lived in various countries, I have saved their images and atmospheres in my inner mind and developed a great sensitiveness to the world around me. I accomplished two years of art studies at the University of  California at Los Angeles UCLA where accent was put on personal creativity. When living in Rome 4 years, I studied the great Italian Renaissance masters for their colors usage and  composition, to convey meaning. I still study all sorts of artworks but follow my inner creative spirit and the inspiration that spurts out of me or rising after long inner maturation. 

Painting and poetry - I am also a 14 times prized poet and detain the Cultural Merit Medal of France - have been life saviors when tragedies hit my children in 1941 an 1943 and have led me back to a new meaningful life with increased sensitiveness and originality. I started exhibiting in Geneva in 2002 and since 2016 have am receiving invitations to so many prestigious events in the USA -ew York, San Diego, Miami - France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland Zürich. I am invited to the most beautiful Art Biennials of Florence 2017 -2019, Barcelona, Mantova, Paris Art Fair, major galeries and foundations, 9 major prizes in tribute to the great masters like Leonardo, Botticelli, Diego Velazquez, etc...Twice finalist in world contests, two Artists of the year Awards Italy 2029 and London 2018, my artworks figure in prestigious Art Books and art Anthologies in Italy, in London, the USA and I am to receive the Oscar for Creativity and professionalism in Montecarlo, Grand Prix de Montecarlo 2019.

 I am very grateful to all my curators who, through their great confidence in me, motivate me and push on to develop more and more my personal creativity and expressiveness ,. Atmospheres, story telling abstracts or complete abstraction, vibrations through lines and colors, world emotionally impacting events I feel in link once I turned towards the outer world since 2017 are recurrent themes. Techniques arise while a painting is elaborated and are therefore multiple, serving expressiveness. I let a painting surge spontaneously from my soul and translate it on canvas through pastels, watercolors, oils, acrylics or Indian inks,  colors and emotions always the starting point for a new work. 

I am keen to see what that next to come will be!
