The emerald hue in the painting evokes associations with forest beauty. Walking through this deep and dark forest, you suddenly come across a mysterious lawn that looks like another world. You see an emerald lake surrounded by tall trees, which looks like a house where mysterious forest creatures live.
While it is daytime outside, only sunlight and plants growing on the shore are reflected in the lake. However, at midnight everything can change and the lake turns into a meeting place for magical forest dwellers.
