Globo – The Explosive Birth of Color
"Globo" is a celebration of unpredictability, motion, and controlled chaos—a fusion of color and energy captured at the precise moment of release. This acrylic on canvas piece is not just a painting; it is the result of an action, a creative performance where chance meets artistic intention.

The Process: A Fusion of Forces
The foundation of Globo was carefully prepared with a textured gesso and metallic paint mix, applied in sweeping, irregular motions using a badigeon technique. This uneven, reflective surface serves as the perfect stage for what follows: an explosion of color.

With the canvas placed on a slightly inclined surface, I suspended a balloon filled with liquid acrylics mixed with vinyl glue above it. The tension mounted as I positioned myself at a 10-meter distance, armed with an airsoft gun. With a single precise shot, the balloon burst—sending a cascade of vibrant, fluid colors spilling across the canvas. The impact generated small scattered projections, but most importantly, it birthed a powerful vertical flow, as the mixture of hues merged and cascaded down the surface.

This raw and spontaneous method allowed gravity and motion to dictate the final composition, ensuring that no two moments—nor two paintings—could ever be identical.

Interpreting "Globo"
The result is an intense, organic movement, reminiscent of waterfalls, melting metals, or even a cosmic nebula expanding into space. The rich blend of blues, yellows, greens, and deep reds forms a visual symphony, where the transition between colors feels both natural and dramatic.
