This painting here began and was completed during a period where I began to spend a lot of time tapping into my inner world and getting to know and listen to my heart and intuition. And I am so grateful that I put that work in consistently because it really does pay off in my external world too!! I was initially going to call this painting; The Other [...]
This painting here began and was completed during a period where I began to spend a lot of time tapping into my inner world and getting to know and listen to my heart and intuition. And I am so grateful that I put that work in consistently because it really does pay off in my external world too!!

I was initially going to call this painting; The Other Side but the more time I spent with it, the more I felt another title more perfect; Inspiration from Above. Let me explain…

The inspiration for this painting all began on bright sunny and quiet day. I was seated in my art office looking out of my big windows up towards the sky. I remember hearing a slight buzzz sound in my head, knowing that my mind was utterly at peace and quiet (for once!). I set the intention that I was open and ready to listen and receive.

By the time I was done, the next thing I knew I was in front of a brand new canvas making light sketches of what would be my next impactful painting.

What was amazing with this painting is that throughout the weeks taken to complete this painting, I remember having more moments of just looking out towards the sky and I kid you NOT, it felt like the sky and I were communicating. At times, it was confirming what was done (in the painting so far) as well as guiding and making subtle beautiful suggestions of what to do next.

I was seeing all of this in the sky and it was just so beautiful. I would see similar shapes and forms of expression between my painting and the sky and be in awe and amazed. Then I would notice that the sky also had something extra. Whether that was different strokes or textures or more shapes, I was open to receiving and being divinely inspired. And that was exactly how this painting came into existence. Quite a spontaneous, creative, ‘going with the flow’ type painting.

I see this artwork specially as a collaboration between the Universe and I. Both as Co-Creators. And I absolutely love it! I see that when I look above and really tune into myself, limitless greatness occurs. As above so below. As within, so without. Many thanks

Greetings! My name is Nmayah and I am a painter. I have been painting since I was 13 years when I initially discovered the passion of visually being able to express stories, feelings and experiences on a canvas. Very exciting:)

Recently, I have been inspired to get back into painting as a form of authentically and freely having fun and connecting deeper with my inner self. And I have loved every second! 

I am so grateful to have this gift of painting and I am honored that I choose everyday to practise and engage with this talent, each creative artpiece being special and having a deeper meaning close to my heart.

I realise in life that there is no limit. I am limitless potentiality and I like to express that through my paintings too. I tend to use mixed media artwork so I can capture the different textures that give life to each section of the painting, ultimately coming together effortlessly and seamlessly as One. Just like each individual contributing to the expansion of the world! 

For each painting I begin, continue and complete, I have the pleasure of going on an exciting journey by being in the present and going with the flow of life. And it is so fun and releasing each time. Really and truly, I hope you can all see and feel the passion coming through and touching your soul too.
