In the "Colors of Nature-The Chromatic Essence of the World" collection, I seek to explore my vision of the world's colors and how they blend in our eyes. This mixture that occurs when we see a color is what I try to convey in the paintings. Therefore, I work by fusing colors directly on the canvas, using a palette knife and acrylic paint. Even if it seems imperfect in certain areas, this is how I see the world's colors blending; I'm not aiming for realism, but rather an intimate, sensorial translation of my visual perception.
About the Artwork "From Green to Sea"
This artwork, an integral part of the "Colors of Nature" collection, emerges as a vibrant abstract mosaic that captures the essence of light and life in natural environments. The composition is dominated by a profusion of short, dense brushstrokes, applied with a palette knife, where each touch of color, mixed directly on the canvas, contributes to the formation of a rich and palpable texture, exactly as I perceive the fusion of colors in nature. It's an invitation to immerse oneself in this chromatic universe that reveals itself through the material.
The green tones range from dark to lighter, more vibrant nuances, predominantly filling the left side of the canvas and moving up towards the center, evoking the density of foliage or growing vegetation. Interspersed with the green, patches of blue emerge, representing the sea, from clear turquoise to deeper blues, integrating fluidly into the visual landscape. The transition between these elements suggests a continuous dialogue between the sea and the water.
In the upper right corner of the canvas, the blue of the sea gains a particular concentration and intensity. Here, the hues vary from clear turquoise to deeper blues, creating an area that evokes the immensity and oceanic depth. This portion of the artwork acts as a visual counterpoint to the vibrant greens and yellows of the rest of the composition, suggesting a distant horizon or the vastness of the ocean under the sunlight. The way these blues blend with the edges of the greens and yellows illustrates the perfect transition and interconnection of natural elements, even when viewed in a fragmented and abstract way.
The visual highlight ignites with the massive introduction of vibrant yellows and oranges, which are concentrated at the bottom of the canvas and spread organically through the center. These golden brushstrokes simulate the direct incidence of sunlight and the texture of beach sand, creating points of brilliance and warmth that illuminate the composition. It's as if the sun is penetrating the canopy of trees or reflecting on the surface of a field of flowers, capturing the luminous "mess" that organizes itself into beauty. This luminosity is the heart of the work, emphasizing the vitality and energy of natural elements.
The arrangement of colors is not static; there's an intrinsic dynamism that suggests movement. The colors blend and separate optically, inviting the eye to explore the nuances and transitions between the different hues, reinforcing the idea that apparent imperfection is part of the beauty. The technique of applying paint with a palette knife gives the surface an almost tactile texture.
In the end, it's not just about the painting. It's about how we see the world – this infinite mixture of colors and light, this apparent mess that, somehow, always forms something beautiful. I hope that by looking at it, you can feel a bit of that, and that the artwork resonates with your own perception of the beauty that resides in the spontaneity of nature.

Durante a graduação, as demandas acadêmicas e do mercado me afastaram temporariamente dessa essência.
