As an architect, artist, traveler, I am interested in the history of the places I have visited and the objects that will become the basis of the plot of my canvases. A unique ship, unique hull lines, this unsurpassed early 60s design! Remember this time - everything had an aesthetically complete design: buildings, cars, clothes. Mankind stood on the threshold of another rise. The plot of my picture is simple - bringing to the raid the "white swan", a ship that has become history and a star in its world.
MS Cap San Diego is a general cargo ship, situated as a museum ship in Hamburg, Germany. Notable for its elegant silhouette, it was the last of a series of six ships known as the white swans of the south Atlantic, and marked the apex of German-built general cargo ships before the advent of the container ship and the decline of Germany's heavy industry.
The Cap San Diego was built and launched by Deutsche Werft in 1961 for Hamburg Süd as the last of a series of six ships. The 159 m, 10000 dwt ship ran a regular schedule between Germany and South America, completing 120 round trips until 1981. After being sold and running under different names and flags of convenience as a tramp trader, the run-down ship was scheduled for scrapping in 1986, when it was bought by the city of Hamburg.
The ship was restored mainly by the labour of enthusiasts and laid-off dock workers, and is kept operational to date. Most of the time, the Cap San Diego is moored at the port of Hamburg, where visitors can access virtually all areas of the ship from the bridge to the engine. One of the cargo holds hosts temporary exhibitions. Passenger cabins can be booked for overnight stays. Several times a year, the ship leaves the harbour for trips on its own power, mostly on the river Elbe or to Cuxhaven. In 2001, the ship was awarded the Maritime Heritage Award by the World Ship Trust, and in 2003 it was declared a protected item of cultural heritage by German law.

I was born in 1964, in Kyiv, Ukraine. I live and work in Ukraine. Architect-artist by profession. He received his education at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (KDHI 1988). As a certified architect, I practice in Ukraine, cooperating with international architectural companies. I work in the format of my own architectural bureau. As an artist, I practice traditional drawing techniques, the author's palette knife painting technique.
My passion for ships and boats has been with me throughout my life. That is why, having an academic art education, as a marine artist, I prefer marine themes in my work. My artistic creativity is a picturesque story about unique ships, vessels, boats that are in the service of man. The presentation includes several picturesque series, canvases of different genre and thematic focus. Presented: romantic seascape, industrial landscape, historical reconstruction in thematic series: STEEL GIANTS, MUSEUM SHIPS, FISHING BOATS, LIGHTHOUSES... For me, they are living beings, each with its own character. They say that there is a lot of steel and masculine energy in my marine series. So it's true! Dynamic design, contours of hulls, majestic superstructures of tankers, cruisers, steamships, sailboats, fishing boats - everything has aesthetically finished forms that have always inspired marine artists! My marine painting is a tribute to sailors, ships, engineers, volunteers, and everyone who served and continues to serve in the navy.
