A big event (2021) 绘画 由 Luro

I have been painting for 50 years, self-taught, studied art history, social history of art, avant-garde movements, learned and used the painting techniques of the classics.

Today I am analyzing the devastating impact of consumerism on people, society, the world.

We experience a widespread collective inner fragility, a man with a weakened psyche has been molded, subdued and maneuvered toward a fatal consumerism. This widespread malaise is as if it were the engine of the consumer economy. Thus industries continue to produce what will later be only mountains of waste, feeding an endless vicious cycle. 

The ultimate essence of human life has become to continue to consume an unnecessary, harmful and inexorable overabundance of material goods.

In painting I eschew the usual view of things, the mine themes are the vulnerability of people, the anxieties of a world made up of appearances as opposed to the essence of being.
