I gave away a number of paintings in college (when I was young and naive) and recently requested text/email pictures of the ones that could be located. This painting was the first response and surprisingly, I did not remember the design (even though I had retained many of the original sketches). I gave away a number of paintings in college (when I was young and naive) and recently requested text/email pictures of the ones that could be located. This painting was the first response and surprisingly, I did not remember the design (even though I had retained many of the original sketches). Nonetheless, the colors in the original were more muted than my current palette and the placement formula was an unusual five/five/six cadence. After studying the image, I decided the remix would have an angled weave pattern design and windmill-shaped overlays but retain most of the colors (with some tweaking). Thanks for the picture, Dave.
