I wanted to paint this for Easter. This is “Äidin Suru” – “Mother´s Sorrow”. We all know, how the story went. Despite all the horror, these still was and is Faith, Hope and Love. That is why I wrote those words in English, Aramean and Hebrean on the Golden Circle. This also in honour of Diego Velasquez “Christ Crucified” (1632), and in honour of all [...]
I wanted to paint this for Easter. This is “Äidin Suru” – “Mother´s Sorrow”.
We all know, how the story went. Despite all the horror, these still was and is Faith, Hope and Love. That is why I wrote those words in English, Aramean and Hebrean on the Golden Circle.

This also in honour of Diego Velasquez “Christ Crucified” (1632), and in honour of all Pidgeons of the world.

“Painting is my Mission and my means to pay back for all the good things I have been given. Over and over again: If some one´s Heart is a bit warmer when viewing my work, my task is fulfilled” - this is Liisa's artistic statement.

When young Liisa painted all the time, dreaming to study art and be a professional painter. Then she suddenly buried her dream thinking she was not talented enough. She did not touch a brush any more. She made a career of life more mundane. She is a Master of Sciences in Economics.

Then Life, after four decades, made her start again. This happened some four years ago. Now she paints continuously and feels she has found her mission.  She loves what she does and does what she loves. Because of her age that she feels pretty high by now, she wants to create as much as possible before her time is running out. She is a member of the Finnish Artists' Association.
