Laura Sobrado graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. She is a professional artist and designer living in Washington D.C.
She adopted the name “snstza,” pronounced “synethesia,” which means experiencing one sense through another. In Laura’s case, this specifically means experiencing music through visual art and translating what she hears into abstract painting using her own data information process.
Laura’s mission is to collaborate with her clients to create paintings that get at the emotional essence of the songs that they select. As songs are bundles of raw emotion, the whole purpose of her work is healing and to validate her clients’ feelings with artwork based on the songs that they love.
