Once I was walking in a poppy field near the ruins of the Church of St. Clementius near Brno. There I met an old man. He was all in white, his shirt tied with a canvas belt. He told me that poppies grow where there were many battles and a lot of blood was shed. I thought - indeed, the Czech Republic has such a great history, how many battles have been fought. As soon as I wanted to tell the old man about my guess, I saw that there was no one on the field except me and the dog. The old man seemed to be dissolved in the air.
