KSENIYA RAI'S WORKS ARE IN MORE THAN 200 PRIVATE COLLECTIONS WORLDWIDE. In many cultures, blue and cyan colours are associated with water, the source of life and purification. In this context, they symbolise energy flows, the flow of time and vitality. According to the artist, she cannot live without the ocean close to home, which is one of her strong sources of inspiration. The sacred meaning of blue and blue colours permeates many aspects of life and culture, reflecting their depth, tranquility and spiritual significance. The only unchanging centre of the composition is people and the abundance of subjects frozen in space, as if taken out of context. The anchor point of the subjects, is a reference to ethnic colour, to archaic images, which are integrated into the context of contemporary culture. As the author herself shares, she finds in them a reference point, a strength that is based on the allegories and stories they convey between them, regardless of language.
