Spirit Lion 5a2 is a detail of just one element of an array in a kaleidoscopic image (Geometric 2021 - 225, some versions of which are also listed here on my Artmajeur portfolio (Geometric 2021 - 225a7b16, Geometric 2021 - 225a7b7, Geometric 2021 - 225a7b4, Geometric 2021 -225a7b3, Geometric 2021 - 225a7b2)). In all the Spirit Lion versions, this element is rendered so as to make it into a ceremonial mask as might have been used in spirit worship ceremonies, or into a manifestation of the spirit animal itself. In this version (Spirit Lion 5a2), I have included some of the connecting elements of the array in the main image, so this is less seen as an apparition of a spirit form and more as a painting on a warrior shield or gargoyle, and it is meant to be seen an image used as a talisman to ward off evil spirits. In particular due to the choice of bright red and a lot of black elements, it would be something to ward off the Devil.
