My name is Katerina, I was born in Ukraine in 1987, and now I live and work in Italy.
My works are a reflection of my worldview, a concentrate of emotions that have been growing within me throughout my life. I believe that our life is the journey of the soul through the material world that surrounds us every day.
For me, there is nothing unnecessary in this world. Even what is called waste can gain new value if we look at it with attention and love. I am inspired by the philosophy of Japanese Kintsugi (金継ぎ), the art of golden joinery, which shows how something broken can become even more valuable.
Through my work, I aim to rethink things that we commonly consider useless. I do not advocate for minimalism or rejecting packaging, but I want to show that with careful attention to the world, it becomes richer, deeper, and more beautiful.
I hope to someday contribute to the global rethinking of waste recycling — turning discarded materials into art, into a new perspective on reality, into proof that everything in this world deserves a second life.
