Kabonge George Wasswa

Kabonge George Wasswa is a Ugandan visual artist born in 1990 as a twin and raised from Naggalama-Lutengo village in Mukono district. He attended both primary and secondary levels of education where he was introduced to various artistic Disciplines. He attended higher level of education at Kyambogo University where he was awarded a bachelors degree in vocational studies art and design with education. He is a secondary school fine art teacher and started practicing as a painter in 2014.

He specialized in painting where he uses the pointillism style characterized of vibrant small dots or strokes of colour.

His subject matter is mostly attached to the contemporary social environment and life situations around the communities where he lives. His themes range from the traditional African music, wildlife, daily life activities and these have been presented both in semi abstract and abstract forms. I have participated in various art exhibitions in Uganda and East Africa where he has shared his artistic experiences with fellow artists and people around him.

He mostly paints with acrylic and oil on canvas. He is a highly motivated and passionate painter who loves attaching his themes to the prevailing life situations within the community where he lives..
