JUSTIN LEES Born 1981, lives and works in Newcastle, Australia. Justin Lees is a Newcastle based painter, sculptor, designer and photographer. A self-taught artist, he has held over 10 solo exhibitions since 2004. Justin discovered his passion for painting at a tender age and has since honed a distinctive style that captivates the senses. With an insatiable creative spirit, he fearlessly explores various artistic realms, leaving an indelible mark in each one. Lees’ abstract paintings, primarily created with oils, exhibit vibrant hues, bold brushstrokes, and a sense of movement that elicits a range of emotions. Drawing inspiration from nature and his inner experiences,Lees’ art embodies big, bright, and vivid expressions, reminiscent of abstract expressionism and abstraction periods from New York.
