In L'Échelle d'Ombre, Julien Iglesias paints not a ladder that we see... but a ladder that we feel.

The regular, disjointed, fragmented black bands evoke both the bars of an ascent and the tears of an interior passage.

Each step is a fracture in the light, each interstice a possibility of choice or a forgotten renunciation. The ladder here leads neither to the sky nor to a visible summit. It crosses chaos, intertwined with abstract scrolls, red wounds and green currents, like a jungle of the soul where the landmarks dissolve.

The background, animated by foggy gestures, evokes the memory of inner fights: the paths that we climb in the shadows, without spectators, without trophy. The scale then becomes a metaphor for silent courage - that of rebuilding oneself, of rising in oneself despite the broken angles, the echos of doubt, or the absence of a clear destination.
