I am a Dutch artist, autodidact and working for about 20 years. I am most inspired by nature. I take pictures on my long walks, through the city of Amsterdam or  through the Dutch landscapes. They form the basis for my artworks. I can work very focused, but at the same time i have to search , be open and persevere. When searching my way I need mistakes or impulsive reactions, they usually get me where I want to be, or free me from being stuck. With every work the search begins all over, not knowing whether you are going to make it. But there’s the fun in trying. When a work really is finished, the satisfaction is huge, the fact that I succeded , persevered and often discovered something new.
