Jos Kivits is een hedendaagse schilder gevestigd in Australië. Kivits schildert bijzondere neoklassieke romantische landschappen en rijke stillevens in de stijl van Hollandse en Vlaamse meesters uit de 16e en 17e eeuw.

Zijn artistieke expressie wordt getoond door realistische stillevens, bloemen en zeegezichten, die allemaal zijn geïnspireerd door de oude meesters. Kivits maakt zijn eigen oliën, die samengaan met zijn meerlaagse techniek, waardoor het gevoel van diepte en een 'trompe l'oeil'-look ontstaat.

Jos Kivits werd geboren in 1945 in Eindhoven, Nederland. Zijn werken bevinden zich in openbare en particuliere collecties in Australië, Nieuw-Zeeland, Hong Kong, Japan, Noord- en Zuid-Amerika, het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Europa en Zuid-Afrika.
