Jan Oud exhibits in the town of Heeze from February 24 through June 22, 2011 January. Who is Jan Oud? Ben on October 28, 1939 born in Alkmaar. My career is roughly as follows: Alkmaar technical school. Working in a factory. HTS Haarlem. Textile Printing Vlisco in Helmond, Ghana and Ivory Coast. Retired since 2004 and self-taught artist.

My passion for art was created in 1960 after my meeting with the artists Oudes Dirk (1895-1969) and his son Jaap Oudes (1926-1998). In my paintings I like to use bright and strong colors. I can not resist. It gives me a happy feeling. The reason for this is I think my love of the Mediterranean landscape wich I deeply love. While enjoying the lovely sunny life with bread, wine etc. I try to capture my emotions in my paintings. Even when creating a winter landscape I can not resest the need for the colorful display.
