Depuis toujours, j'ai eu une passion pour l'art, le design et les matières naturelles (papier, bois, fer, métaux, tissus). Cette passion se fait jour à travers la peinture acrylique, car celle-ci m'offre un toucher rugueux qui s'approche de l'artisanat. Le besoin de friction, expression d'une contradiction qui peut révéler une beauté invisible au regard fugitif, me conforte dans l'idée que la perfection se situe dans l'imperfection, sachant que la perfection, telle qu'elle s'exprime communément, me paraît trop lisse et laisse peu de place à l'imaginaire. La peinture acrylique, quelquefois augmentée par une insertion de matière, me procure une opposition aux matières "non-naturelles" (plastique...). La vie est faite de hauts et de bas, et les oppositions que j'essaie de créer (p. ex. l'opposition de l'or et du plâtre, du papier ou du bois) représentent justement ces oppositions nécessaires - il n'y a pas d'ombre sans lumière. Par le regard que j'impose au spectateur, j'essaie de lui apporter une ouverture sur des associations inhabituelles, des choses à priori cachées, et des questionnements philosophiques et psychologiques; sur la nature et la vie.
