Ich wurde im Oktober 1960 in Essen/NRW geboren, und zweifelsfrei hat sich dort auch schon in frühesten Jahren meine Kreativität entwickelt.
Während und nach meiner Ausbildung gab es eigentlich nur den Wunsch meinen eigenen künstlerischen Stil zu entwickeln, und diese Eigenschaft zieht sich bis zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt wie ein roter Faden durch mein Leben.
Seit weit mehr als 40 Jahren bin ich nun freischaffend tätig.
In meiner künstlerischen Laufbahn gab es bisher kaum ein Medium mit dem ich noch nicht erfolgreich experimentiert hätte, und viele meiner Skulpturen, Reliefe ect. waren bisher in öffentlichen Ausstellungen zu betrachten.
Meine momentane Leidenschaft ist der Erstellung von Mixed Media Collagen und Digital Collagen gewidmet.
Als Instrumente dienen mir mein Fotoapparat, Leinwände, Scheren, Zeitungen, Scanner Photoprogram ect. Am Bildschirm male ich freihändig.
In Sprockhövel betreibe ich einen kleinen Skulpturengarten mit anhängigem Atelier, welches sowohl als Ausstellungs,-als auch als Arbeitsräumlichkeit dient.
Meine Werke sind stets eigenschöpferisch, entstehen aus Erfahrungen , Erlebnissen , Erkenntissen und Emotionen meines Seins.
Für mich verschwimmen die Grenzen, da ich im Vorfeld - geistig, gedanklich und gefühlsmässig - zwar "designe", das Resultat aber dennoch vollkommen zufällig und fast absichtslos aus mir selbst heraus entsteht.
Während der Schaffungsphase entwickelt sich oftmals etwas ganz anderes, und immer wieder bin ich selbst erstaunt über das fertige Werk.
In vielen Werken lege ich großen Wert auf Farbe und Buntheit als ästhetisches und autarkes Mittel.
Ohne den Betrachter beeinflussen zu wollen, dienen mir Farben dazu, das Fiktive meiner Arbeiten deutlich zu machen.
Ein oder mehrere Fragezeichen werden Sie in fast jedem meiner Collagen finden; dies dient unter anderem als Signatur.
