Sophie et Christian se rencontrent en 1981 aux Beaux-Arts de Paris où ils suivent des études d'architecture au sein du même atelier. Ils y apprennent le dessin, la peinture et la composition, mais aussi le plaisir de travailler ensemble. Après quinze années d'exercice de l’architecture, ils décident de se consacrer entièrement aux arts plastiques et y gagnent une plus grande liberté d’expression. Une signature commune illustre cette nouvelle trajectoire : SETCH.
La sculpture, découverte il y a quelques années à travers le découpage de l'acier, comble aujourd'hui un espace laissé vacant entre peinture et architecture. Elle prolonge la recherche d'une vérité archaïque, quelque chose de perdu, d'enfoui, qui nous relie les uns aux autres.
Aujourd'hui la Galerie du Faune présente un éventail de leurs créations tant en acier forgé qu'en découpe au laser.
