Leni Winkelmann ist eine zeitgenössische deutsche Malerin. Sie widmet sich seit vielen Jahren der Landschaftsmalerei. Ihre Motive findet sie in der heimatlichen Umgebung und auf Reisen, die sie zuerst fotografisch oder in Skizzen mit dem Bleistift festhält. In ihrem Atelier findet dann der Entstehungsprozess der klein- bis großformatigen Ölbilder statt.
Landschaften sind das bevorzugte Thema im Werk von Leni Winkelmann. Dabei kennzeichnet ihr Werk nicht die reine Wiedergabe oder die Idealisierung einer Landschaft, wie man sie im Allgemeinen aus der traditionellen Kunstgeschichte kennt. Vielmehr sind es Stimmungen, Eindrücke und Gedanken, die im Bild zum Ausdruck kommen. Einsamkeit und Stille, Licht und Schatten, Farbe und Raum Realität und subjektives Erleben prägen das Werk, das sicherlich auch mit einem Bezug zur Romantik verbunden ist.
Leni Winkelmann wurde 1955 in Deutschland geboren. Ihre Bilder wurden in Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen in Deutschland ausgestellt.
