Marike Koot is a self-taught artist from the Netherlands, living in the south of France. Since 2012 she has been a full-time painter. She has had exhibitions in France, Spain and the Netherlands with great sales results. Her paintings are in private collections all over the world.
Over the years she went to art schools and worked with known artists in Italy, France and the Netherlands to further improve her talent.
Inspired by her surroundings she creates acrylic and oil paintings. Her work is contemporary, very colourful and impressionistic.
She has a great passion for nature especially seas and oceans.
But also people and animals have been often painted bij her.
Marike hopes that those who view her art will experience the great pleasure that has gone into it’s creation.
