Un jour, un hasard familial m’a amené dans l’atelier parisien de la sculptrice Magali Nourissat. Cette abstraction manuelle a immédiatement emporté une véritable passion chez moi.
J’aime les possibilités infinies du travail de l’argile jusqu’à trouver l’émotion la plus juste pour la figer dans un bronze.
C’est dans les contes et les fables, vecteur d’éducation morale, que je trouve ma principale inspiration. Leur puissance imaginaire et leur pouvoir émotionnels ont des vertus thérapeutiques pour traverser les âges et les doutes existentiels. J’y vois une forme de retour aux premières narrations visuelles.
Dans mon travail, j’aime m’amuser à rester sur une ligne de crête à la frontière de deux mondes, celui de l'Homme et de l’'animal, pour révéler à la fois le côté bestial de l’Homme et humain de l’animal.
