Né à Lille, France en 1948, Jacques Vainunska a émigré en Israël en 1971, après des études littéraire et parallèlement à son métier de photographe, il commencer à faire des expositions de manière régulière, de ses photographies et surtout de ses peintures, tout d’abord en Israël puis un peu partout dans le monde (France, Pologne, Italie, Espagne, Angleterre Allemagne, Canada, Etats Unis etc…)
Autodidacte, et après être passé par différents courants il réalise ses dernières années des œuvres contemporaines dans un style unique et indéfinissable
