Ho perso mio figlio e il mio migliore amico Dylan Callaghan il 09.04.2021. Nello stesso anno mi sono trasferito in Francia, in una bellissima cittadina chiamata Eymet. Sono stato ispirato a dipingere con la speranza che il nome di mio figlio venga ricordato negli anni a venire.
Dylan e io abbiamo lavorato insieme nel settore dei servizi finanziari. Aveva solo 24 anni quando morì, in un terribile incidente stradale all'ingresso del tunnel di San Pedro del Pinitar in Spagna.
Sento che Dylan mi guida nel mio lavoro artistico. Firmo tutte le opere d'arte a nome di Dylan. In un certo senso sento che sta dipingendo con me.
Posso perdermi completamente in un dipinto e non pensare a nient'altro mentre lavoro. Consiglierei la pittura come strumento per aiutare con il dolore. Per un po' non riesci a pensare ad altro che al tuo dipinto.
Mi trasferisco a Eymet con mia moglie Amanda e i nostri due cani, Ruby e Pearl. Amanda e i cani sono stati una roccia per me e non sarei letteralmente qui oggi senza di loro.
