En 1995 elle étudie la sculpture à l’école The Art Students League of New York. ET étudie la photographie, la peinture et le dessin depuis 2002.
Sariye pratique la peinture, le collage, la sculpture, la photographie, le dessin et la vidéo.
Elle travaille sur la femme, la représentation du corps et de son image. Elle cherche par delà des frontières esthétiques la diversité de la beauté.
A l’origine de son inspiration on retrouve le flux migratoire, la beauté du monde fragile dans lequel elle vit, ce qui donne naissance à ses œuvres.
