Mentre lavorava nei teatri, ha iniziato a fotografare sempre più produzioni di opera e balletto. Nel frattempo, è ufficialmente considerato uno specialista in questo genere.
Per diversi anni il suo lavoro ha iniziato a diventare più artistico e ha iniziato questa nuova era di stile: le sue opere sono ora influenzate da elementi di nudo artistico. E ha sviluppato il suo stile personale utilizzando le sue fotografie, mettendole su materiali come tele o lastre di metallo e combinandole con vernice, foglie d'oro, gommalacca e altro ancora.
Stephan Joachim vive e lavora in Germania. Il suo lavoro è stato premiato al Best Of Photovogue in Germania nel 2016 e nel 2018. Il suo lavoro è stato pubblicato su riviste e ha partecipato a numerose mostre ("Tanz! Blut! Liebe!" a Lubecca, nel 2019, "Ohne Titel" a Monaco nel 1999…).
