Leo Spreksel is werkzaam als choreograaf, coach en beeldend kunstenaar. Had een loopbaan als artistiek leider in de dans en is werkzaam als choreograaf en regisseur. Was o.a. regisseur van de opera Satyagraha van Philip Glass. Daarnaast is hij werkzaam als beeldend kunstenaar. Zijn werk bevind zich in collecties in Australië, de US, Indonesië, India en Nederland. Zijn huidige werk bestaan vooral uit pasteltekeningen en aquarellen op groot formaat. Inspiratiebronnen zijn de natuur, filosofie maar vooral het lichaam, lichaamsvormen en beweging natuurlijk. Vormen zijn herkenbaar maar niet realistisch. De figuratie is vooral abstraherend om de poëtische kracht van het werk te benadrukken. Vorm en kleur zijn leidend bij het componeren van beelden die de magie van de natuur maar ook van de menselijke interactie moeten blootleggen.
