Luc De Blick, geboren in 1949, is een gerenommeerde Belgische kunstenaar die in België woont en werkt. Hij is gespecialiseerd in figuratief tekenen, waarbij hij voornamelijk houtskool op karton als medium gebruikt. Zijn werk is sterk beïnvloed door meesters als Bruegel, Rubens, El Greco, Van Gogh, Renoir en Mondriaan.
Luc kreeg een uitgebreide artistieke opleiding, eerst in schilder- en beeldhouwkunst aan Sint-Lukas in Brussel van 1966 tot 1972, daarna gedurende zes jaar in modeltekenen aan de Academie van Aarschot. Daarnaast doceerde hij vijf jaar monumentale ornamentiek in steen en hout aan SITO Mechelen.
Tussen 1972 en 1977 werkte Luc bij de beroemde kunstgieterij "Compagnie des bronzes" in Brussel, waar hij waardevolle expertise verwierf in de creatie van bronzen monumenten en sculpturen. Al meer dan vier decennia maakt hij werken voor prestigieuze opdrachtgevers en zijn creaties zijn te vinden in verschillende landen, waaronder Japan, Brazilië en China. Opvallende werken zijn onder meer "de Hagelander" in Houwaart en Wezemaal, het Eddy Merckx-monument in Kiezegem, het Cruls-portret in Diest en Brasilia, en het beeldhouwwerk van de Mechelaarherder voor de FCI in Thuin.
Luc heeft ook deelgenomen aan talrijke groepstentoonstellingen in heel België, onder meer in Kessel-Lo, Bonheiden, Heist-op-den-Berg, Mol, Kontich, Schellebelle, Aarschot, Leuven, Houwaart, Glabbeek, Kapellen-op-den-Bos, Mechelen , Brussel en Antwerpen.
Naast zijn artistieke prestaties deelde Luc zijn expertise door een boek uit te geven met de titel "Compagnie d.Br. van binnenuit", waarin hij een kijkje achter de schermen geeft van de beroemde Brusselse gieterij.
Als veelzijdige en erudiete kunstenaar blijft Luc De Blick het Belgische artistieke landschap markeren met zijn werken en zijn engagement voor figuratieve kunst.
